| While I was at the San Francisco Auto Show a few weeks back, a gentleman walked up to me and showed me a book. I took a quick scan, and thought it might make an interesting article for HO World, so I asked him to leave me a copy, and he did. I didn't look at it for a few weeks, but as I started reading it, I realized how great a book kit was. So great, it actually caught the attention of my wife, who is right now reading it. The beauty of the book is three fold, especially for younger people, or those not familiar with the mechanics of a car. In a concise, and very organized, and very complete form, every aspect of the car is covered. The text is easy to understand and well explain. The illustrations are clear drawings, with sub text to describe each. For the most part I knew all there was, or so I thought. Then I got to the part about fuel injectors. I finally learned the differences in the three kinds. Also, the section on anti lock brakes was superb, and probably the most interesting. Clever, whomever thought it up. Each topic is given one page, with illustrations, and each section or area of the car is cleverly written in a linear fashion. Because of the language the author uses, he paints a very complete picture of each components function. Each section has a quiz at the end to test your knowledge. The book ends with a Glossary that contains all the words described throughout the book. This book is for everyone, but especially for the young, and less mechanically inclined people that you might want to introduce to the technical side of automobiles. In His Own Words.
